Apostle Denise Millben-Williams

Apostle Denise is an inspirational woman of God who leads with wisdom and grace. An insightful speaker, she draws heavily from her background, education, and practical experiences as a preacher, teacher and counselor. An exemplary woman, she possesses the rare ability to reach many as she worked in the ministry to complement her late husband, Bishop S. Michael Millben.

A gifted speaker and writer, Apostle Denise has authored four books, traveled to over 15 countries preaching the gospel and ministered to countless men and women.

She is the founder of B.R.I.D.G.E (Building Relationships In Different Geographical Environments) and The House of David Academy (In Africa).

B.R.I.D.G.E (Building Relationships In Different Geographical Environments) began at the conclusion of a trip taken to Liberia in 2011. Denise and her colleague, Deanna Tolbert were invited to conduct a teacher's workshop in the city of Monrovia. After the workshop they were given a guided tour of the countryside. During the tour, Apostle Denise visited a region called Weala where she observed many children waiting on the porch of an obviously abandoned building. After greeting the children, she discovered that none of them were enrolled in school. Their school building had been destroyed during the massive upheaval of the Liberian Civil War fifteen years previous. The graphic picture was engraved in her mind.

Denise felt compelled to DO SOMETHING to help to these young people growing up in a nation that had been ravished by war. She conceived the idea of an organization that would exist for just such purposes. BRIDGE was birthed to provide the framework that would connect special needs to available resources. BRIDGE's work encompasses only four areas of need: 1) education, 2) food source, 3) water and 4) energy.

Bridge has begun their efforts to build House of David Academy which will provide education to over 500 children in the area. This facility will provide K-12 education and well as special trades in conjunction with their clean water and aquaponics initiatives on the campus. This will help provide training and jobs for villagers as well as help sustain the school financially.

The Vision: BRIDGE will gather, guide, give and initiate projects that will impact, enlighten, inspire and encourage groups of impoverished people for a better life.
